DNS Setup for CloudFlare
The following guide is relevant for SMTP2GO customers, who have a domain name hosted with CloudFlare.
Step 1
Log in to CloudFlare. Select the appropriate domain name under Select Website section.
Step 2
Click the DNS button.
Step 3
To create a new record, go to the DNS Records section and go to the boxes for the new record.
Select the CNAME option from the Type drop-down menu.
Enter the Hostname we recommend into the Name field.
Note: You may only need to add the first part of the recommended hostname and not your full domain name to your DNS records as your provider may automatically add it.
Enter the Value that we advise for your CNAME record.
Make sure that you select 'DNS only' for the Status of the CNAME record that you create. At the time of writing, this is currently achieved by clicking the cloud icon to change it to appear grey.
Click on the Add Record button.
You can find the "Hostname" and "Value" on the Sending > Verified Senders > Sender domains section of your SMTP2GO Dashboard.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each required CNAME record.
