DNS Setup for GoDaddy
The following guide is relevant for SMTP2GO customers, who have a domain name hosted with GoDaddy.
Step 1
Create a Sender Domain as per the instructions here.
Step 2
Log in to GoDaddy, navigate to My Products, under the Domains section click the DNS button for your respective domain.
Alternatively, you can click the Manage button, then on the next page select Domain in the left side navigation menu and click the Manage DNS button.
Step 3
To create a new record, click the ADD button under the DNS Records section.
Select the CNAME option from the Type drop-down menu.
Enter the Hostname we recommend into the Name field.
Note: You may only need to add the first part of the recommended hostname and not your full domain name to your DNS records as your provider may automatically add it.
Enter the Value that we advise for your CNAME record into the Value field, and TTL can be left as default.
Click the Add Record button.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each required CNAME record.
You can find the "Hostname/name" and "Value" on the Sending > Verified Senders > Sender domains section of your SMTP2GO Dashboard.
